Nick Gardner is cofounder and Executive Director of Watershed Collaborative, a nonprofit dedicated to scaling adoption of Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) in K12 schools across the U.S. through technology and design. Nick continuously collaborates with practitioners and innovators in the field to ensure VTS is accessible and affordable to all classrooms in as equitable and effective manner as possible.
Prior to founding Watershed, Nick was the Managing Director of Visual Understanding in Education, a nonprofit focused on the study of aesthetic development and creation of the VTS school curriculum and program from 1990-2015, and is founder and CEO of Ople, a public benefit corporation focused on adult learning through digital platforms and collaboration. Nick earned a B.A. at Webster University and a M.P.A. at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
