Founder and former CEO/Chairman of Cylance, an Irvine, California based Artificial Intelligence (AI) company, Stuart is widely recognized for applying AI and Machine Learning (ML) to the cybersecurity landscape. He was the first to apply AI and ML to the endpoint with the company he co-founded in 2012, which sold six years later to Blackberry for $1.5bn. The company holds two growth records in cybersecurity: the first with $100M in revenue in just over three years, and the second being the fastest time to value for a company at $1.5bn in just over 6 years.

Stuart is a serial entrepreneur with two companies prior to Cylance including Foundstone (started in Irvine, CA in 1999 and sold five years later for $90M to McAfee) and Computerese in Palm Desert, CA which sold in 1993. Mr. McClure has also held senior executive and leadership positions with large global corporations including McAfee (GM and Global CTO), Kaiser Permanente (co-CISO), Ernst & Young (Senior Manager, Cybersecurity) and IDG (Test Labs Director).

A well-published and acclaimed security visionary, McClure has authored many security books and was the original, founding author of the most successful security book ever written, in its 7th edition called “Hacking Exposed”. He’s also written addition, multi-edition cybersecurity books named “Hacking Exposed Windows” and “Web Hacking”. Additionally, Mr. McClure has authored countless articles on cybersecurity with a five year publishing career with InfoWorld including his own long running OpEd column called “SecurityWatch”.

Mr. McClure is sought the world over as a prolific speaker and has presented to countless global audiences at conferences and special speaking positions at corporations, board rooms and military and government organizations around the world. Finally, Stuart has also been called on as a cybersecurity expert with numerous news agencies including CNN, MSNBC, CBS and many others.
