Susan Malisch has served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Loyola University Chicago since November 2005. In this capacity, Susan is responsible for developing and implementing the University’s information technology (IT) strategic direction, and IT services that support teaching and learning, research, administrative operations and public service. Susan is a member of the President’s Cabinet. With 35 years of implementation and operations experience in Information Technology (IT), Susan has served in leadership roles for a variety of strategic projects including mergers and acquisitions, IT governance and program management, enterprise-wide strategic plans and business strategy transformations. Susan frequently contributes in leadership roles beyond IT. Prior to joining Loyola, Susan was the Regional CIO for the Americas at Novell, Inc. where she directed all aspects of IT operations for two corporate locations and over 50 remote offices in North and South America, and she has held leadership roles at Cambridge Technology Partners, UCLA, NSC Systems Group, Inc. and Southwestern Bell Communications (ATT). She received her BSBA in Computer Information Systems from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri, and an inductee in the Athletic Hall of Fame for Women’s Basketball. At home, Susan is the proud parent of three sons. Personal interests include basketball, outdoor activities, wine tasting, and cooking.
