VIP Networking Reception

Don't miss this celebration of SIM's ongoing legacy of philanthropy in STEM. The third annual SIM Foundation VIP Networking Reception will be the concluding event of the SIM National Executive Retreat, held November 15-17, 2021 at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. The Reception will bring together more than 300 SIM members to raise funds in support of FIRST and NPower as well as other local Chapter give back initiatives. The Reception will feature a keynote presentation, the silent auction and highlights of SIM chapter accomplishments in their community giveback initiatives.

Can't join us in person? We'll be live streaming the program and keynote from 6:15 - 7:30 PM ET.  Click on the REGISTER NOW button to register to attend virtually. (If you've already registered on the site or made a donation, the button will read DONATE NOW - donations are not required to register, but greatly appreciated!). So, register to join us and check out the online Silent Auction starting on November 2 and running until 7:30 pm on the 17th.

If you require special assistance of any kind, please call us at 800.387.9746 email us at mmccray@simnet.org.

The SIM Foundation Board and VIP Networking Reception committee are pleased to support FIRST Robotics and NPower as beneficiaries of the VIP Networking Reception.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was founded in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. FIRST designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.

NPower is a national nonprofit, rooted in community, that is committed to advancing race and gender equity in the tech industry. Through skills training, real world experience, support and mentorship, NPower graduates launch burgeoning careers and a pathway to financial freedom for themselves and their families. Students who enter their free, six-month program, earn industry-recognized certifications and graduate with the competencies of an IT professional with one to two years of experience. Eighty-one percent of NPower graduates get a full-time job or continue their education. Not only is NPower changing life trajectories for individuals from vulnerable communities but they are also strengthening the overall competitiveness of U.S. businesses hamstrung by today's limited pool of IT talent.
