Safety of attendees is our top concern.  SIM is committed to the health and well-being of the Executive Retreat attendees. We understand the uncertainty surrounding travel and event attendance during these unprecedented times. All event staff are either vaccinated or are required to wear a mask. We are also asking all attendees to be likewise vaccinated or wear a mask throughout the program. We are continuously monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, local, state and national officials and the host hotel and will provide updates to our policies as appropriate. In the event SIM has to cancel the event due to COVID-19 or SIM determines CDC, state, local or hotel restrictions make the event as planned untenable, we will refund attendee registration in full.

With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases attributable to Delta Variant mostly among the unvaccinated population, we have received questions regarding the event and our COVID-19 policy. We want to assure you that SIM is committed first and foremost to the health and well-being of all Executive Retreat attendees. The SIM team is closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and is following all CDC, state, local and hotel COVID-19 guidelines.

 Plus, we are adding some additional safety precautions involving Masking and Vaccination.

Proof of Vaccination or Negative Covid-19 Test 

All SIM Executive Retreat attendees, exhibitors, SIM staff, and guests must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination, or a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of arriving at the Retreat. You will receive an email in October with instructions about how to upload your vaccination card or negative test results. We will also be doing daily wellness checks of all attendees.  We will use an app asking health questions prior to entering the ballroom.  This will be similar to the questions that you are asked prior to visiting many public event venues.  We will be working with a 3rd party resource to secure your information and all information will be deleted after the event.

Face Masks 

Masks are encouraged when indoors and in areas that are not easily socially distanced. The Retreat will be following socially distance practices when necessary and weather permitting meals will be hosted outside.

Masks are optional for all fully vaccinated individuals at the SIM Executive Retreat, including attendees, exhibitors, staff, and guests—unless local, state, or CDC guidelines change before or during our event dates. Unvaccinated individuals at the SIM Executive Retreat must wear face masks. If you do not have a face mask or forgot yours, masks will be available at the registration desk.
